Projects

Current

[Lori, the XMLDB logo] XMLDB

My latest project is a brutally-efficient three-tier application server called XMLDB. This has received a lot of notice recently and continues to grow into something very promising. >

gnetmd

Another recent, but smaller, project is a GNOME frontend to the libnetmd library. This interacts with the Sony NetMD family of products through the USB interface. >

tv_grab_uk_pdr

A small utility to grab xmltv information from the Radio Times website efficiently. It is a replacement for the utility of similar name that comes with MythTV. >

HomeBrew Decompiler

I wrote a Java decompiler for my undergraduate thesis, and released it under the GNU GPL. I still maintain and support it. >

KegTracker

Kbert (Conrad Parker) and I wrote a mod music tracker for linux. It uses xmp for module loading and playing, and gtk for the GUI. >

MicroJules

I wrote a screensaver for DOS many years ago, and spent some time making it as small as possible. What I ended up with is a 400-byte fractal morpher. It doesn't hook any timer interrupts so it will probably run way too fast on more recent systems. It is, however, an interesting example of the usage of self-modifying code.

General Studies Sux

A little tune I wrote for a general studies subject at university. The lecturer thought that I had simply plagiarised something off the radio and was going to fail me but ended up giving me a 50 pass.
